Recordings, screenshots, imported media and editing projects remain on your device.
We do not sell capture data, build advertising profiles or monitor browsing history.
Free capture tools work without an account. Signing in is used for identity, organizations and paid entitlements.
1. Scope and data controller
This policy applies to Ludexa Capture for Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge, its screen recorder, screenshot tools, image editor, video editor, the Ludexa website and optional account services.
The data controller is KUZTOMER TECH IBERIA, S.L. (commercial name: Ludexa), NIF/CIF B93896942, with registered office at Calle Durillo, 1, 28232 Las Rozas de Madrid, Madrid, Spain. Privacy enquiries can be sent to privacy@ludexa.com.
2. Ludexa Capture's single purpose
Ludexa Capture's single purpose is to let you intentionally capture, edit and export screen recordings and screenshots in your browser. The extension accesses a page, tab, window, screen, microphone, shared audio, webcam or cursor only when you select the corresponding feature and initiate the action.
3. Content processed only on your device
The extension can process video, audio, screenshots, page pixels, cursor positions and clicks, webcam video, edits, project metadata and media that you import. This content is held in browser memory or local browser storage such as IndexedDB. Editing and export are performed on your device.
We do not automatically upload recordings, screenshots, captured page content, cursor data, webcam footage, imported media or project files to Ludexa servers. Content leaves the extension only when you explicitly download or export it, or choose a destination outside Ludexa.
4. Account and commercial information
You may use the free local capture experience without creating an account. If you sign in, our identity and commercial services process your name, email address, internal account identifier, organization membership, authentication events, subscription plan and effective feature entitlements.
Authentication uses an authorization-code flow with PKCE. The extension receives short-lived authorization information and stores its session in browser extension storage. It never receives or stores your account password. Payment processing is performed by our payment provider; Ludexa does not receive or store full payment-card numbers.
5. Browser permissions and why they are required
Ludexa Capture requests the narrowest permissions used by its current features:
- activeTab: identifies the tab from which you opened Ludexa and supports a user-requested visible-page capture.
- identity: opens the optional Ludexa sign-in flow and returns securely to the extension.
- storage: keeps local projects, screenshots, preferences, account state and selected organization on your device.
- scripting: injects the crop selector, full-page capture helper and optional cursor/click tracker only into the page where you initiated that feature.
- Optional website access: access to a specific HTTP or HTTPS site is requested when you choose Crop & Capture, Full Page or cursor tracking. Denying it leaves other features available.
- Screen, microphone and camera access: browser capture prompts appear only after you request recording and let you choose the source and media devices.
The extension does not request or read your general browsing history, bookmarks, passwords, form entries, email or unrelated files.
6. Website and diagnostic information
When you visit ludexa.io or use online account services, our infrastructure may process standard request information such as IP address, browser type, device information, requested URL, timestamps, authentication status and security or error events. We use it to deliver the service, prevent abuse, investigate failures and maintain security. We do not combine captured content with advertising profiles.
7. Sharing, sale and human access
We do not sell personal information or captured content. We do not use or transfer it for personalized, retargeted or interest-based advertising. Because capture content is not uploaded to us, our personnel cannot review it.
Online account information may be processed by providers that support hosting, authentication, security, email and payments, solely to provide those services under appropriate contractual safeguards. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect users and the service, or as part of a corporate transaction subject to applicable notice and consent requirements.
8. Chrome Web Store Limited Use disclosure
Ludexa Capture's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data obtained through browser permissions is used only to provide or improve the extension's user-facing capture and editing purpose. It is not transferred except as necessary to provide that purpose, for security, to comply with law, or as otherwise permitted by that policy.
9. Security
Online account traffic is transmitted over HTTPS using modern encryption. We apply access controls and technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information processed. No system is completely secure, so you should also protect your device, browser profile and account credentials.
10. Retention, deletion and your choices
Local projects and settings remain in the browser profile until you delete them, clear extension storage or uninstall Ludexa Capture. Removing local data is irreversible unless you previously exported a copy.
You can deny optional site, microphone or camera access; delete individual projects; clear all local extension data; sign out; or uninstall the extension. Online account, billing and security records are retained only as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and prevent abuse.
To request access to, correction, portability or deletion of online personal information, email privacy@ludexa.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
11. International processing and children
Where a provider processes online account information outside your country, we use safeguards required by applicable law. Ludexa is not directed to children below the minimum age required to consent to online services in their country, and we do not knowingly create accounts for them.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the extension, our services or legal requirements change. We will update the revision date and provide additional notice where required. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to privacy@ludexa.com.
